DirectionsTrail Head DirectionsFrom the North Take exit 10 off Route 84 in Newtown. Follow Route 6 to Route 34. Take Route 34 south for 4.9 miles, to Great Quarter Road. If you come to the Stevenson dam you have gone too far. Take a left onto Great Quarter Road. The road turns a few times with side streets. Stay on the main road (Great Quarter Road) until you come to a cul-de-sac at the end. The trail begins here. From the SouthFrom the intersection of Route 8 and Route 34 (exit 15) in Derby, head 7.0 miles north on Route 34 to the Stevenson Dam. Cross the dam and continue north on Route 34 for 1.5 miles to Great Quarter Road, on the right. It is past the intersection of Route 111 and Route 34. Take a right onto Great Quarter Road. The road turns a few times with side streets. Stay on the main road (Great Quarter Road) until you come to a cul-de-sac at the end. The trail begins here. Hiking DirectionsFollow the blue blazed Zoar trail from the parking area. The trail runs along the shore of lake Zoar. The trail will at time move away from the shore and go up hill, and at other times will go back down hill and next to the shore. After about 1.5 miles you will come to Prydden Brook. Just before the brook there is an unmarked trail leading off the right heading toward the lake and down to the falls. Latitude / Longitude: 41.41667 / -73.20778
