DescriptionThese falls are easily accessible and have been turned into a state park, Southford Falls State Park. Long ago a dam was created at the top of the falls making a large pond. The outflow from the dam spills down the falls. The falls are not a man made spillway for the dam but are actually natural waterfalls that have been developed by man. The water flows down the steep rocks and over a series of cascades into a gorge. There are trails on both sides of the stream and a covered bridge crossing the gorge.
